Termessos

Termessos, a Pisidian city, is located 1000 m above the Pamphylian
plains and it is one of the most attractive ancient sites in Turkey.
There Termessians kept Alexander the Great off their city. The day will
begin by climbing to Termessos and we will visit the Termessos National
Park, Propylon of Hadrian, the remains of Greco-Roman theater, agora, gymnasium
and the rock-tomb of Hadrian, of Alcetas (a general of Alexander). |

Perge/Side/Aspendos

Your trip to ancient times will begin at Perge, a city of the Hellenistic
period where St. Paul preached his first sermon. The remains of the theater,
stadium, baths and streets dated from the Roman period. We will continue
our tour to Aspendos, famous with its best preserved theater that remained
for 1800 years. The last visit will be Side and the Byzantine ruins with
a theater and Roman baths - now a museum. Return to the hotel. |

Demre/Kekova Island

The whole day is dedicated to the Lycian city Demre - known as Myra
and Kekova. Myra was also visited by St. Paul and in the 3rd century St.
Nicholas served as bishop in the city later nominated the capital
of Lycia. You may also see the Lycian tombs carved into the rocky hill,
a Roman theater and the Basilica of St. Nicholas. The day will continue
with a boat trip to Kekova Island where you will have the chance to visit
the half-buried remains of sunken city. |

beaches and Roman and Byzantine ruins among the trees. |
